Subtracting Fractions With Like Denominators

This is what we learned in class:

5/6-1/6=4/6=2/3

Show with a picture or a model:

3/4-1/4=2/4=1/2

1/3-1/3=0/3=0

Solve the following:

7/10-3/10=4/10=2/5
1-1/9=9-1/9=8/9

Homework:
Pages 220-221

  2. Good job Vincent! I like how you used different colours for the math questions, good pictures, except the one for 3/4 - 1/4=2/4 shows the wrong fraction for the last part. Thanks for putting the homework. Good job. :)

  5. I like you pictures. I thought they really helped to understand the process. But I noticed a mistake. Therefore, next time check your work over.

  6. Good job. You explained it well. But the numbers were a bit hard to understand. Like 3/4-1/4=2/4=1/2, you could of at least spaced it more. Other than that you did good.

  9. Good job Vincent. Your diagrams were very correct... according to size. One of your diagrams was wrong (3/4 - 1/4 = 2/4 = 1/2). Also, space out your work like I did to make the post neater. You also lack a video & link. But anything I did not comment about is probably good. Probably. Good job! :)
